Attempts never matters. the only thing matter is accuracy, if anyone have about 60% attempts with 90 % accuracy, then only the person could be clear the exam.

In these kinda LR Qs..
Firstly take all the possible cases…and then move on with the given infos…some cases will itself get rejected…and at last the case which remains is the answer
to the puzzle…Sometimes important infos are also given at the last part of puzzle too…So,be flexible in ur approach nd look out 4 those info 1st which give u clear ideas…
CIRCULAR 1 was really tough…I also spent arnd 7-10 mins baffmilng over it..but in the end i managed to do it…

IT cutoff not go much high, as those only can clear it who has studied text book rather than objective type preparation, I did only 28 in IT but I know they all are correct.Because I hadn’t take the risk in this section, bus english qualify ho jai.
Yes I agree wid u..But we can’t gauge the
level of competition…It was not just a normal IT officer exam coz the renumeration is very handsome here…So,even ppl working as IT officer must have also appeard for this exam and there were atleast 10 such Qs which were based on practical applications…So,they have some edge there along wid their experience…Anyways,I also sincerely hope that in worst case also cut off doesnt go beyond 120

friends, no body has written even 10 questions excluding one very easy numerical….so it simply means that no body could more than 20 questions even with 40 per cent accuracy….what the hell is use of saying of doing more than 30 when u aren’t unable to recall even ten questions….writing 40 out of 40 is as easy but you can’t speak lie to urself…..don’t tell ur attempts…share original questions if you can…

Hey everybody !!! I appeared for Credit Manager, general category. My attempts were 36 in Reasoning, 29 in Maths,25 in Professional Knowledge and 25 in English.
I also felt that professional knowledge section was tough. Since there are only 115 posts I believe the cut off will be on higher side. My feeling is a person with 40 attempts in reasoning, 30+ in maths, 25 in Professional knowledge and 25 in English with 80-85% accuracy will receive interview call.

boi interviews date is already out dear..u can download it frm the boi website….
pritish u knw acc to u cutt of will be around 140 mark that is way high..
I believe combined cut off for interview call will be in the range of 110- 130 marks. Individual cut offs will still be low. Lets say for Quants cut off can be in the range of around 20 marks out of 35. For reasoning 30 marks out of 75 (50 questions), english will be around 15 and Professonal knowledge (Credit manager) can be around 30 marks out of 90. But overall cutoff will be high.

@ bks…I hve been reading ur post…and i am not replying to clarify myself…but to suggest u that u have been shouting again nd again abt posting Qs nd solutions…Then let me tell u that in 2 hrs. we had to do 160 odd Qs nd nobody who has gone to take the exam wid gud prep. wud have time to remember Qs…coz it is simply not possible…I really appreciate those who heve posted Qs here on their retention power.But,my dear BKS everybody doesn’t have same retention power as everybody has not same level of intelligence…So,kindly stop saying what u have been saying…
1 more thing…attempting high is good nd also not impossible as u have been claiming here that ppl r lying over here…Remember this post had an attractive payscale…nd hence even guys confident of cracking CAT wud hav appeared for it…So,u can just imagine what they can possibly do with this paper in which Prof. sectn was of gud standard nd reasoning wudnot be anything for them as ppl have been feeling over here…
Also,Accuracy is the key…some ppl have the knack of attempting high(Read me..)coz thay like it that way…I have cracked a PO exam wid interview..So,simply my confidence was high nd even i fumbled in Reasoning…but wid the belief that i can solve it…i solved 45 odd in the end…
About Prof. Knowledge…I cant claim more than 80-85% accuracy…coz i have been saying nd i will repeat that the section was not easy by any means…it required indepth as well as practical knowledge…
And,last but not the least it’s a request that Plz stop judging ppl by comparing it with ur standards…(whether low or high…)coz if somebody has talent nd worked harder than u…(read me…here)then he deserves to be scoring high or highest nd has all the rights to post here…watever be his motive…as u said to impress girls…And if somebody is faking out here… be then he won’t be able to see his face in the mirror after some days…coz he is the real loser…nd he is really not worth anything or cracking any exam…But,If u keep shouting nd challenging such ppl..it will only make u feel inferior…and not let urself focus on ur weakness…So,instead try to find out nd work out why u were not able to solve 140,150 or even 160 Qs from the paper…coz I am damn sure somebody else must have done it…SO,dude Why not some1 else was u???
I hope it is crystal clear to all what i meant by such a long post…Sorry for such a long post but hope this can relieve some nerves nd help ppl prepare nd concentrate better on their future exam preps…

Ppl have been asking abt Professional knowledge questions, since i appeared for credit manager post I remember few questions.
My set was 111, the first question I definitely remember being proper documentation meaning.
I still can remember few areas from which the questions were asked.
There were 2 questions from UCPDC, Letter of Credit, one on advising, confirming bank bank. Then there was question on BPLR to base rate system why RBI is comfortable with,there was also question on minimum lending limit without collateral for Working capital requirement for small enterprise. There was a question on self helf group functioning/ characteristic. What is gross block was one of the question and the current ratio and debt equity ration banks will be comfortable with. Of course one question was numerical on current asset provided current ratio.
and yes one cash flow and fund flow difference question as well.

nice to know your views…but whatever i’ve written here keeping in mind the level of students….i’ve suggested many of my students to grasp very important information regarding banking exams…as it gives very fast information regarding banking vacancies and its results…As you’ve written I am not able to do 160 out of 160…i m damn sure…only the person who have made this paper can do so…reading sebi act in deep…rrb act in deep…..and reading all the rules and regulations and keeping them in mind is not so easy as writing a very long advising essay…I’ve done doctrate in the area where you are having just little knowledge….i know..if any body speak tells a lie, it will harm only that person..but there are few person who are having little information regarding the tricks of cracking exams….telling area is as easy as reading the syllabus of finance of rbi….so telling an area is different concept…and presenting a questions in the same is the very different thing…as on the same topic…thousands of questions can be framed….by the way..thanks for taking the pain in writing such a long essay..it will help in descriptive of ibps….cheers!

@bks First things first…I never doubted ur capability and qualification..But,the way u kept repeating abt posting Qs was just ridiculous yaar…And to make things clearer,I appeared for Dy. Manager IT paper nd its PK was also tough but again my dear doctorate frnd toughness also depends on the level of grasp nd level of preaparation…Isn’t it?hope u understand.So,I did 35 odd nd i am sure ppl must have attempted 40 also.And about rest sections,I maintain that it was pretty much doable…finishing all in the given time coz when i cud do barring 5 Qs in reasoning…then i am sure many wud have done better than me…mayb u…So,this was abt what I appeared for…
But.once again u missed my actual point…I kept repeating that if anybody is faking he will be the loser…not u…But if u keep challenging them…only ur time will waste nd it doesn’t suit on a person of ur intellect.
Lastly,I don’t need any preparation for descriptive…and it was not an excercise for me..okk…I am pretty much ok with my writing…I wrote that much bcoz i thought that this should no keepon happening…Rest is ur wish…u r smart enough…

Nobody exactly knows when it is going to come out next…but one thing i can assure u that demand of IT officers in PSU banks,Insurance & other fields are like never before…So,vacancies will keep coming & u have to keep ur eyes nd ears open…I wud suggest u to subscribe to some Govt. jobs forum or website where they will intimate u abt all such openings…In the meanwhile u must have got the feel of wat these papers r like…U just have to be thorough in DBMS & Data Security.Network security,Computer network nd OS are other ares where u need to focus…thats it…nd of course the vacancies r always less mostly in single digits nd sometimes in double…So,other sections r also equally important…So,kee preparing many oortunities will come nd not only this PNB…and make sure to perform well when it matters most…

how many persons will be called for the post of human resource officers? the comments above show that almost everyone has attempted around 140, but then it’s mostly about other posts..can the hr officer candidates throw some light?i have attempted around 125-130..is that really low?i was scared of the negative marking criteria
yesterday i called PNB HR.he told that the result of specialist officers will come only after 2 months(januvary 2012).the delay is due to the valuation of clerk is going on..after that only they will start our valuation..dnt get tensed..hope for the best…
