About 1,11,993 candidates have passed the first common written exam (CWE) for probationary officers in 19 nationalised banks. The exams were conducted by the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) in September this year.
A little over 10 lakh candidates had appeared for the exam. Of them,
36 per cent of the successful candidates were women,
while a similar number of candidates were from the rural areas.

yadi on an average per bank 1000 vacancy bhi lati hai to 19000 vacancy hogi. 7000 ka to sawal hi nahi.
bhaiyon according to the cnbc tv 18 thier are more then 1,00,000 vacancies(including po &clerk) in next 12 months..more than 7 lakh vacancies in upcoming 10 years..bcoz of large no. of retirements..and increasing no. of branches… this is just a begning..dont loose ur heart… n start prepering.

I cant say ki kitni vacancy h…. lakin jitna jyda hype ho raha h ki 30K ya 40K hogi esa nahi hone wala…. i think so ki maximum 15K vacancy honi chahiye and 25K tak ki rank wale apne aap ko safe maan sakte h.
and jo log bol rahe h ki IBPS ke result me gadbad h to ek baat ye bhi h ki ab tak saare banks ke recruitment exam IBPS hi conduct karta h, I mean OMR sheet IBPS hi check karta h.
To me nahi manta ki result me koi gadbad h. HO sakta h ki jin logo ka objective acha hua ho lakin descriptive me rah gye ho…..

Obviously not…… let suppose every bank has to recruit at least 1500 to 2000 PO then what figure comes after calculating…….. consider it

bhai logo kisi bank ki dum nahi hai jo k 4000 ya 5000 po’s ki vaccancy 1 baar me hi nikal de. asli baat ye hai k 6 months k baad infact march me hi fir se naye students paas ho kaa jayenge or fir competre karna or bhi mushkil hoga. and har bank highest priority wale ko hi legi so. there is nothing to do just wait for scorecard and uske baad pata chalega k kya karna hai.

according to me only under 10000 rank holders are in safer zone because sare dost bol rahe hai ki 40000 vacancies hai.mai manta hu ki itni vacancies hogi bt ek baar me hi sare banks wale POs bhar lenge to fir next exam me jo pass honge unka kya hoga??Aisa to nhi hai hai ki one yr me 80k bank POs ki vacancies aayegi.and mere according aaj tk kisi v bank ne 2k se jyada POs ki vacancy nhi nikali hai except sbi.so av v competition aasan nhi hoga or sbi to isme hai nhi.1.1L ka selection hua hai written me to that means ki 1:10 ke ratio se selection hona chahiye.

hello friends, , , instead of rank cards , all r getting score cards. . Now, it has brought tensions what will happen. . But dont loose hope candidates who have obtained below 150. Just make yourself well built for interview. . As inter marks will be a vital thing.

But i am so sad because again failure i am not understanding how to crack the exams i am doing pvt job while doing job am preparing am MBA qualified but intrested in Govt bank Job. Last i have checked my marks for corporation bank clerk in that i got 62% with Qualified but OBC cutt off was 74% for AP, i am not understanding how to clear exam , because in bank exams pattern we need to qualify each test and also should get merit with negative marks so dear frnds pl suggest me how to crack in the exams i am so disappointed but i don’t want to miss hope so pl suggest me how to crack the exams….. :sad_wp:

arun i just want to tell you that never think of just qualifying or have assumption that if i attempt 20/50 will be enough. Give strain to your brain as much as it takes i.e try to solve as many as you can never put a limit for it result is sure because i believe each persons brain capability is same if they tune it.

Being an Public office its very importent to keep calm but we were seem loosing it here many times.
You sure ig going to ba an officer but how good you can be we doubt it.
Regarding the sources you have like coaching centre,,,we all know accurate they are(maney makers).
If you are selected try giving some positive vives to the other candidates. Agar kisi ka aacha nahi kar sakete tho least boora na karo.
(i cleared 14 Bank po in inclusing IBPS, though could not make it in the final of all.)

we cannot be sure if the english section let dowm many of us. Some people they are exceptionally gud in written english but they might fumble while speaking.
I my self have cleared LIC/oriental AAO written and i find their english much below the PO level examination.

earlier it was considered to be bit higher but now PO level is rising unanimously.
The only difference is you have less seats in AAO/AO exals conducted by 4 general insurance and 1 LIC hence more competition as and when compared with Bank PO vacancies.

@ Swati I am on the same boat. I have given UCO bank IT Officer exam. Most of the questions are from DBMS/RDBMS and rest from OS-UNIX, Linux, JAVA, ORACLE etc. Tried in local market but unable to find any book.

I Have gave UCO bank IT Officer’s exam on 11-12-11 in TCS Powai Mumbai Campus and there are 300 students but out of 300 many were absent.My exam was nice except Proffesional test bcoz only this section i m worried, if it clear then definately……..I just purchase IT officer’s objective books and it’s really helpful for upcoming IT Officer’s exam..Bye

No need to argue on vacancies and score cards. . Just wait for a few days and the whole scene becomes transparent. . We all will be well known about our standings in the national level.. . So friends, just not rely upon the results. . Try somewhere else too… But hope for the best. . .

Just wanna ask, when the banks are gonna come up with the vacancies ?? as SBI & SBI Asso. candidates will not be interested in other banks ~7000 of the top candidates will not appear for other banks interviews if they get in to SBI or SBI ASSoc.
and if IBPS conducts another exam in April then there will be more candidates in the race…

Yes you are right…
Already there are 6000 Posts for SBI and SBI associates and the selected candidates will not join in IBPS PO. So If we get 10000 rank then our rank would be 4000 (10000-6000)..
ther eis a mistake here..how can u bet that only top rankers of ibps wd hav made thru sbi and sbi asso..
most probably…one of my friend got through SBI but failed in IBPS…but atleast 5000 name will repeat …thats for sure !!

for po ..good score always is 50% or more..and i think ibps paper..those scored 50% r in a strong position..but now its rank..so i dont know which rank will b safe..but till 40000 it will b good..
bank will fix graduation % and test score for this recruitment..rank will not b a matter.those who satisfy marks and grad % can take part in interview..and that will b the final decider..

hi friends this is bikash here , i don’t think rank of the candidates will go beyond 250 marks.because, the total marks of the exam is 250 if the candidate will score 250 out of 250 he will be in the 1st rank. similarly the next candidate who scores 249 he will be in the second rank,if several no of candidates scores 249 marks they all will be in the 2nd rank only, so if we calculate from 250 to 0 in descending order there will be some 251 ranks or some more if some candidates scores minus marking so there is no question of 10000 of more rank score
Are you joking, do you have any idea what you are talking about? For example take other exams like IIT, or entrance for MBA some of the exams have only 300 marks in total but then too people get ranks bhai

I meant they get ranks beyond the total marks so don’t predict anything based on the total marks of this exam..

there will not be 1 lakh ranks there will be only 250 ranks if we calculate 1 to 250 than it is only 250 ranks if we calculate decimals also then at most we will get 500 ranks , i don’t know how the ibps is going to give us ranks

what you said is totally absurd.
Don’t you know about the entrance exams for engineering and medicine.
For those exams the total marks will be 500.
one who scores the top mark will get 1st rank.if more than one person gets the same mark they will consider marks in individal section.
some sections will have more weightage.
In such exams all people who scores the mininum marks in each section will have a rank.
say if 100000 qualifies then there will be 100000 ranks.
since the ibps doesnot mentioned any of these ranking methods in the notification ,I don’t know will they follow give us rank on the basis of marks.

Hi friends. This farhan. Very disappointed with myself had worked so hard for IBPS po but didnt got selected. I was shortlisted for PNB SWO as well didn’t get selected. I have applied for ISRO, lic hfl, shamrao vithal co-operative bank for officer. Don’t know what I am lacking but very demotivated. People who gave 1st time exam got selected. I don’t know what to do.

it is as below….

no there are no limitations.till u fulfil the age criteria.

i had gone for coaching locally a well named institution, but i am nat atleast satisfied with that coaching n i prepared through some competitive books n magzines like quantitative apptitude by Agrwal, pratiyogita darpan etc, somewhat from net also
i wd suggest u to study a limited number of books..as readin too many will make things redundant..just pik few good books..pratiyogita darpan is nt gud fr banks..get small but informative books wch are specific to banks..try sm thng as economic tit bits..i wd more importantly suggest u to score high in computers and english as they are very easy and high scoring

Abhijeet garu my lectures told me to follow those books,what u will suggest tell me n i can complete comp ,reasoning, english n GA within an 1hr.15min with an accuracy of 35-40 bits but the only headache comes with quantitative apptitude . but after practicing i get the accuracy of 30bits in QA also.still iam not selecting why i dont know!.(do u no telugu if not, garu= Mr.)
quant..3? i never do more dan 25 in quant or atmost 30..but wid 90 percent accuracy and by date i hav qualified all writen exams..this year so i thnk 30 is a good engh in quant if u do dem right..the crux is to dem correctly..if u are doin 60 percent in nythn dat is at par

there no need 2 mislead anything here becoz i had put that much of effort as i am weak in QA
u need to pitch in a bit of more effort may be..as there were sm new type of ques in ibps( probability ) so it wd hav been a pblm and if u thnk my suggestions are misleadin..suit ur:-) gud day

One of my friends got rank card just now and he resides in Hyderabad.
In that rank card, only marks are printed for each topic.
Within 2 to 3 days hope everybody will get their cards.

Why are you making predections on marks, ranking, expected vacancies n all.
Our job is half done, we still have to battle for interview.
SO it will be better to discuss abot the interview preparation.

mene IBPS pass kiya hai rank 113(sc) hai.But meri graduation 46% hai jab ki po k liye bank ne abhi tak 50%-55% manga hai. yehi sab banks ko chahiye tha to IBPS (CWE) main sirf graduate pass kyun maga. ye galat hai ab mere pass karne se kya fayada hua mera to mazak kar di is IBPS ne…………..

Hi all, how to know the rank wise list for the selected candidates in ibps po? Is it possible?
And also by going through the recruitment of union bank and syndicate bank , only the top 10000 candidates are shortlisted for interview even though some of selected for union bank also. if this is the case there are some issues, call letter will limited
