one week induction course will be held for all of u and after that u will be posted in branches for 17 weeks for general banking phase.my training was held at kolkata.currently i am posted in kolkata.my overall experince with iob has been very good.work culture here is very good and lots of opportunities are there once u clear jaib/caib exams.for girls posting is generally given in their hometowns.

@ ritzz all the girls in our kolkata region were posted to metro itself.none of them were send to any remote areas.they try to give posting closer to their homes for girls.

ALL the selected candidates are heartily welcomed to be the families of IOB ,,,currently i m working in delhi while my training was at STC bhubaneshwar..i m from jharkhand ranchi itself…
friends specially boys be prepare to join anywhere in india especially southern india as this bank has immense presence there and working culture no doubt its very good than any other banks…..
so congrates to selected candidates and better luck next time for the hard timer…
all the selected candidates be prepare to join within 2 weeks as the letter may be dispatched to u,,so be mentally prepared to join it and after receiving the letter you wont have much time for reporting for seven days trainig and from that very place u have to go for joining of ur allotted branches and one more thing all the papers will be verified n signature on bond paper will be done on the very first day of the training….
u have to make two character certificate (gazetted n last college attended) and medical fitness certificate from civil surgeon.and get one set of attested certificates….

about allowances apart from salary
1 coneyance allowance 600-900 depending up on the place of posting.
2 medical allowance 5100 for full financial year even if you join on any date of that financial year.
3. casual leave 01 per month and no other leave during probation.
4. one important notice regarding period of probation thatis only of 1 years in our bank after tht u will be confirmed as a assistant manager.
5. after one month 10%of basic and da will be deducted for contributory pension scheme.
6.1 week training will be annnounced shortly where u have to report immediately and from that place u have to go to ur alloted branches only for first four months.
01 year probation is divided in to 3 lots of 4 months each for training of 3 deptt of banking(1st general banking, 2nd advance deptt, 3rd FOREX))at different places.
7.during probation you can claim up to 150%of std hra by producing actual rent receipt and no lease accomodation facility during probation period.

i called IOB…took down their email id regarding address change…thn i asked in the end..the lady said “joining is a bit late…tomorow we will start sending the letters and joining is on 27th feb.”

all r going to appear in further interviws in as many as they can …..
becoz .. they r nt thinking practicaly that… if they will join IOB then they would nt be able to join any other bank after filling bond

no, we can join any other bank we get selected in after joining IOB, because we can break the bond, pay 1 lac rs, any one will gladly break the bond if they find a higher package in SBI/PNB, 1 lac will be covered in few months by the higher salary we get. moreover no bank will refuse us on basis of working anywhere else.
who told you that we cant join any other bank?
i guess iob z 1 amng d highest payng bank aftr sbi or pnb .. moreovr sbi z nt a participatng bank under ibps .. so it wud b in vein 2 break d bond .. i guess u shud nly conside breakng d bond if u r confrmd dat u wil get posting in ur home town if u go fr ny othr bank..
i mean.. u have to bear loss of 1 lac if u join another bank after joining iob … and there is nt much diff in salaries of diff banks .. that u r saying u can cover 1 lakh in some months .. say some yrs instead of months
moreover if joing iob was nt ur wish then y u wasted ur and our time !!!!!!
and also rem.. there is no level of human satisfaction unless u urself make u satisfy with somethng…
and for ur kind knowledge .. iob is providing much better salary and job satisfaction
@ vicky-i know the salary difference, i have done my calculations otherwise i wouldnt have posted.
& dont give me spiritual teachings here, if you are satisfied then work in any job, any pvt company y u want to join govt banks. also refuse all promotions that are offered to you!!
iob’s salary is good but perks & all are not equal to SBI, SBI gives 4 advance increaments.
i havent wasted ur time, i dont know u nor m in i interested in knowing u,
dont talk about my time, my time has value & i invest it carefully!!!

@ vicky- den join any small pvt firm, why do you want PO job in bank? mere jaise ki liye recruitment process hai coz we get selected, tere jaise bas bahar baith kar rote hai ki kisi aur player ki wajah se meri job nahi nahi lagi.

just call the hr and tell the situation he will tell to fax the request letter and reason, first extension is allowed. so call the hr of iob.

m vry much disappointed wid IOB,, my training is in mumbai n they r not providing accommodation. we have to manage our stay there n pay upfront then they ll return it back n i dnt know whether traveling allowance and other expenses will be paid or not.

Also mobile allowance of 100 per month. Conveyance starts from 525 for rural area And You can get 150% of hra if u produce rent slip. This all things are common in all banks and IOB is not offering anything new like furniture or leased accomodation during probation.
