UCO Bank Reasoning (Input Output Problem)

Advertisements

People considered UCO PO exam pretty tough, Specially reasoning so i will post some of reasoning questions from UCO bank exam in upcoming days

Input Output problem of UCO bank exam

Input : lived 18 a 12 once 93 upon 32 time 46 wolf

Step I : a lived 18 12 once 93 upon 32 46 time wolf

Step II : a once 18 12 93 upon 32 46 lived time wolf

Step III : a once upon 18 12 93 32 46 lived time wolf

Step IV : a once upon 93 18 12 32 46 lived time wolf

Step V : a once upon 93 46 18 12 32 lived time wolf

Step VI : a once upon 93 46 32 18 12 lived time wolf

As i told you the trick to solve Input Out problem explained here,

http://bankpo.in/short-tricks-tips/short-method-for-input-output-problems/

go through this and then read the following explaination

so as per this trick come directly on the last step i.e. Step VI

We will check it fos dictionary words pattern in increasing or decreasing but after checking we can say that it is not dictionary pattern

So after this focus on numbers and we see that they are arranged in decreasing order, so one thing is clear that numbers will be in decreasing order.

After watching the number series, one thing should be clear that the pattern before and after the series COULD be different.
So lets check it out

The pattern before series is :
a once upon

while after series is

lived time wolf

After pattern after series i.e. lived time wolf
one thing is clear that it follows dictionary approach i.e. increasing order of dictionary words

But in the pattern before series i.e.

a once upon
we see that this also follows dictionary pattern in itself in increasing order, but both the patterns before and after the number series should have something different in them

Now we will try to find something different in them and generally VOWELS are the most common thing that comes to mind and it is the answer

a once upon starts with vowels so are before number series while lived time wolf starts with consonant so they will come after number series

I made full attempt to make you all understand this, but still if anyone has any doubt in his/her mind, they are free to ask

In step 1 ,step 2….which pattern follows.
    please explain.

i understand the last step but cant understand the step 2-to-4 process.which pattern it follows.plz explain.

      • Leo_Helpline says:

Admin got the pretty easy question printed. UCO paper had other terrible time consuming questions too.I rate resoning section of UCO to be ok.One could have easily attempted between 35 to 50 questions.

Specially the QUANT section was the worst of them.

GK/Current affairs: one could have easily attempted anywhere between 15 to 25 questions.

  8. jyotirmoy says:

    ya i got it….
if we consider final step then the trend will be noticed -on the right side consonants arranged.alphabeticaly, where left vowels.
after the input-in each step- one right side consonant and one left side vowel is arranged.dictionary wise(one vowel and consonat contained word placed in same step) till step 3..
as in step 1 wolf is alredy there so “time ” is shifted and left side “a” is shifted all remains same.
in step 2- “lived” placed alphabeticaly right side before time.
    and left “once” placed.
    step-3-”wolf”.”upon” placed at that manner
now rest numbers arranged decresingly step by step.
i think now its clear to everyone.
    very tricky one !!!

  9. Leo_Helpline says:

    Arrangement:
1.check for the words starting with with vowels and arrange them in assending order.
2.arrange the numbers in decending order.
3.check for the words with consonent and arrange them in assending order :thumbup_tb:
