Hello friends,
Here I am sharing my interview experience in Axis Bank, Young Bankers program. My interview was scheduled on 17th January, 2012 at 1 pm in Patna.
I reached the venue at 12.30pm. After document verification I was called for interview at 1pm.
I opened the door and asked may I come in sir? (there were 3 members in the interview panel and all of them were male. I will call them M1, M2 and M3.)
M1-Yes Please come in Mr. Kunal.
I entered the room.
M1- Please sit down.
Me- Thank you sir.
M1- Please tell us about yourself.
Me- Replied.
(During my reply M1 started looking at the Job Application form (JAF). I was surprised they didn’t look my CV and looked only two pages of JAF.)
M1- You did I.sc. in 2004 and B. Tech. in 2010. Why did you took such a long time?
Me- Sir, there is a gap of two years in my studies between I.sc. and B. Tech.
M1- Why?
Me- Explained.
M1- You are working in Adhunik Power & Natural Resources Limited?
Me- No Sir, I was working but I left the job.
M2- Why? As I know Adhunik is a good company.
Me- Sir, actually I do not have interest in engineering. But as I got the job through campus selection I preferred to join it but I was not satisfied with my job profile. So I left the job.
M2- you wasted 2 years for engineering, studied 4 years of engineering and worked for 1 year as an engineer i.e. after 7 years you realized that you do not have interest in engineering.
Me- No Sir. Actually after the first year of engineering I realized that engineering is not for me, but as I already wasted 2 years so I completed my engineering and started looking for banking sector jobs.
Now it was time for M3 but he asked only one question to me
M3- what is your date of birth?
Me- Replied.
Then M1 asked the other two members,”now let him go?”
M1 & M2- Ok
Then M1 said- Thank you Kunal, now you can go.
Me- Thank you sir. and I left the room.
I was thinking that some banking/financial terms, something about Axis Bank will be asked, But I was surprised that nothing was asked regarding this.

m po in federal bnk n i appeared in 8 po interview bt none of d interviewer asked me abt banking term,
they asked me current affairs n questions related to my b.sc

hi kunal, this is rishitha. ill be completing my btech by this may month. im intrested in doing bank job.so what are all the exams that i should write? can you please suggest me.thank you
hav u applied for IBPS CWE for specialist Officers? u can apply for this.
u can also try for IBPS CWE for recruitment of PO/MTs in public sector banks.
if u r interested in pvt banks then u can try for ICICI bank po program. exam for may 2012 has been conducted recently. if u hav not applied the u can try for nov 2012 batch. notice for this will be announced in july. I hav not much idea about next announcement by axis bank since this was 1st tym they conducted po program. i hav heard hdfc will soon announce its PO program.
if u r interested in insurance sector then then oriental insurance has announced advertisement for recruitment of engineers and administrative officers. u can try for it too. it is govt of india enterprise.

hi does age or gap matters in interview or selection procedure???????
axis bank takes a hell lot of work from their employees, they take 50k work frm you and give you only 20k , plus there is a huge sales pressure, don’t go for it, ……..saying this from my personal experience…i have worked with axis bank for a year……

U wnt b satified wid d culture n job profile…all rubish
Try hard to get in to PSU Bank
All private banks are same..
Any 1 going to joine axis bank programm.pls tell me
plz dont join axis, hdfc n icici bnk, if u hv d ability to crack psb or old private bnks,
even clerk of psb n old private bnk r btr than po of these new generation bnk
true statement,……i have many friends working in icici as assistant manager…they are also trying for psu banks…..

kunal i am happy u are not selected in axis bank, myself assistant manager band 1 in icici bank,hav gone thru da same prgrm in 2010 , its absolutely worthless to join pvt banks….dey dnt thnk abt real bankng operations,all dey are intrstd in life insurance sales,i was confusd sumtms whether i am a bankr or an insurace agent, i resigned and m workng hard to gt psu..in my tym der was nobdy who told da diffrnc betwn pvt and psu bank jobs,its my humble requst to every aspiring bankr to go for psu banks and be a true bankr. provide gud service to customrs dats the job of a bankr.’PURE BANKING NOTHING ELSE – SBI’
Did u applied for ICICI PO programme..if yes then what kind of work they are providing…bcz one of my friend applied for this programme and is posted in Jaipur..
yes po programe,if he gets posted in retail sector dat is branch banking den its core sales, you sale or get kicked, if he has joined already..no point leaving it coz der is a bond of rs 3.25 lakhs dats how you gt trapped.
plz tell me what is the job of a assistant manager……after this program
i was also confused to join or not.
bcoz in the nxt few months lots of xams are there. also i have qualified in CWE. but score is not very good but I appeared in the CWE while i was working. so i think i can do well in it.
