Candidate should indicate the percentage obtained in Graduation calculated to the nearest two decimals in the online application. Where CGPA / OGPA is awarded, the same should be converted in to percentage and indicate the same in online application, besides indicating the CGPA / OGPA in the on-line application.
NOTE: All the educational qualifications mentioned should be from a recognized University / Institution and the result should have been declared on or before 01.07.2011.
The percentage marks in Graduation shall be arrived at by dividing the marks obtained by the candidates in all the subjects in all semesters / years, by aggregate maximum marks in all the subjects irrespective of honours / optional / additional optional subjects, if any. This will be applicable for those universities also where class / grade is decided on the basis of honours marks only. The fraction of percentage so arrived will be ignored i.e. 59.99% will be treated as less than 60% and 54.99% will be treated as less than 55%.
COMPUTER LITERACY: Operating & working knowledge in computer systems shall be an essential qualification, which a candidate must either possess or acquire within 6 months from the date of joining the Bank.
HINDI KNOWLEDGE: The candidates shall acquire working knowledge of Hindi, if not possessed already, before completion of probationary period.

Still there are 13 banks to go but will they call us ???They still keep on calling 150 and above for all 19 banks then why they have qualified the people??They could have put a limitation regarding the qualification for the candidates that once they were selected in candidates then they willnot be called for another banks interview.Being such a populous country they must show something towards other aspirants for Bank PO

Don’t worry Lavanya definitely we will get call from Banks. Because ACC to UBI list there only 3800(General) students who got more than 166 with 55% in gradution. Till now 6 Banks call for interviews. Total General candidates call for interview will be 4558. So Students who got more than 165 will get job in this baks. But now banks has to call students who got marks bet’n 130-160 for interview.But it depends on banks.so be positive.

andhra bank ne sirf OBC category ke liye aur IOB ne 22-05-11 ka written ka waiting list nikal diya 6 banks aa gaye hai aur ab sirf 11 banks bache hai ..

sala pehle hi fail bata dete 140-150 walo ko. kam se kam ummedein to nahi lagate. badi hoshiyari maar rahe the itne dino se ki ibps qualify kar liya. sari hoshiyari nikal di in banks ne. kya matlab nikla pass hokar naukri to bas 150 above walo ko hi milni hai yaha.

Then,aprox 3100 are slected so students cards are blocked.
In canara bank gen 1000 sets so canara called 3000
student . So they call new ~2500 student.
So cutoff of gen is 156 to 158.becuse its edu. Tws is too high.they need more new students
so pray to god canara resujt comes after union ,syndicate
corporation, BOI are completed their recuitment.

hey ppl b positive….only 6 banks have declared their vacancy…..13 abhi baki hai….bank of baroda, indian overseas bank, dena bank, allahabad bank,indian bank, central bank of india….these r d better banks than syndivate n corporation….n also around 10000 ppl would already be selected in these banks so u all sud b happy dat in coming days competition would be less…..n i really think dat even 145 marks will also get d po job…..bcz union me hi 166 ka cut off aa gaya hai…..so now cut off would be lower with new announcement…..its truly logical…..dnt worry…..i have 163 marks but only 56 % so even i m waiting for banks whose eligibility criteria is 55…..60 is too much

not sure but appx 5000 peaple above you in obc .i hope you will get a call for the interview because of 69% in graduation .prepare for interview because it is having gravity of 50/100 marks .means in final selection you can beat a person scoring 180 and above .

No idea about rank. But Total Vacancies for General in all six banks is 4558. ACC to UBI list there are only 3800 students who got more than 166 with 55% in graduation. so may be all the students who got more than 155 or 160 will get job in these banks. Because some banks asked more than 60% in graduation. Mine is 149 marks

Sare Bank wale kya pagal ho gaye he, phele to IBPS nikalo, jab nikal diya to ye uper se interview ke liye condition rakh di, IBPS exam se phele ye koi condition kyu nahi dete ki Graduation me 60% chahiye. Muskil lagta he ki koi interview call ayegi 150 score me. kuch nahi ho sakta is desh ka.

@Rohit…may be yar but if u have noticed each n every bank has vacancies every year…..pnb,syndicate,canara have declared vacancy last year too so may be allahabad, central,bob would also declare vacancis this year too….

Friends who are saying that Canara Bank is not in top 5 banks then I doubt how they cleared IBPS. First improve your knowledge about banking sector. In nationalised banks Canara bank comes at 3 or 4 every year in terms of profit, income. And in terms of total business it is 2nd best after PNB. I am not including SBI in this.
2ndly if you guys want to work in bank remember one thing it is not a babu job like central govt jobs are. Bahut kaam hai. PO means pending officer in banks. Manager will make you complete pending works beside your daily routine works.
Canara bank has maximum branches in south. So it is best for south indians. North Indians try to go for other banks like PNB, BOI, OBC etc.. Else be ready for posting in south.
By the way I am PO in Canara Bank joined in December 2010.

dear mahi u r a po in canara bank so definitely u will say u r bank is good.as far as my knowledge it is not no 3 or 4.i will say it is not even in best 1o.u r saying po is not like a babu job i know that.bcoz both my brothers are working as po in allahabad bank and idbi since 2005.much before u.so i have good knowledge in banking sector and banking terms.u r saying it is good for south people why? then why it is opening its branches all over india.we have cleared a much tough exam than u.we have 2 face gd but u are selected by only pi.in this way u r getting po easily.particularly i m scoring 42 in banking awareness then how will u say we people r poor in banking terms.pls reply mahi

If you saying Canara Bank is not in top 5 then visit IBA site and find out man. Top 10 to socho hi mat bro. PNB has business of 600000 crores that they declared recently on 26th Jan which 2nd largest bank in PSU with more than 5000 branches. Canara bank has 3567 branches currently and has business of 536000 crores. BOI and BOB are also having business more than 500000 crores. No other PSU banks. So isn’t in top 5? I m Po in Canara Bank but for that simple reason I am not saying it. With facts I am saying it man. And talking about South postings. That is true. They have more branches in south. They are opening new branches every month and we see the list. If 50 branches are opened atleast 25-30 are in southern states.
Aur rahi baat isi selection ki to no exam is easy man. I scored 46 in Quantitative (Out of 50), 59 in Reasoning (Out of 75), 39 in GA and Computer awareness (Out of 50) and 42 in English (Out of 50) when I gave exam of Canara Bank. And 73 out 100 in descriptive. 92 in PI out of 100. Do you think that was just luck or without hard work. If u think that ways then what can I say man. Its your thinking. I agree it is first time that Canara Bank is also taking GD. But if are well prepared nothing is impossible.
One gud for new POs that they will somehow have easy life in banking coz 4-5 years ago all banks went CBS. And till date so many pending works are being done. Now it is almost going to be finished. I go to branch on Sundays also just to complete pending work. In fact management of all PSU banks think PO means Pending Officer.
Last thing I am not hurt. I don’t follow this site often so didn’t reply early.

One more thing your brothers are PO since 2005. 7 years passed and they are still POs. Thats not true man. After 2 years of Probation POs get confirmed. May be you have written wrong in your reply. By this tym they should be promoted to atleast scale 2 manager or scale 3 senior manager.
yes mahi my brother has promoted.my intention is not point out u particularly.the question pattern we face in ibps po is much tougher than u people.without hard work nothing is possible i know that.u are selected bcoz u r a hardworking .one also u r scores r good.i m ready to agree that at this point of time it is within no5 but it was not in that position or may be will not that position.there is ups and downs in every sector.we have fighted a lot about our own thinking and views.let us stop it and be friends.hope u r response will be positive
